Welcome sports fans!! On February 16th the foosball season kicks off with the first games beginning on the 17th. This season looks to be especially exciting with the heated rivalries that have developed in the off season. The Kentucky Katastrophes lead by Aaron “the velvet hammer” Van Fleet and the Chicago Shifties lead by the relative newcomer Nuree “the assassin” Kim. These two teams have been battling it out during the preseason and we imagine this tense matchup will only get worse as the season progresses! Van Fleet being the seasoned veteran has handed the Shifties a handful of losses already but this new team has the potential to challenge the Katastrophies as they develop and mature as a team. But the one thing we all know sport fans is that foosball is an uncontrollable force to be reckoned with it. One day you could be at the top of your game and the next you find yourself face down in a gutter on Bourbon street covered in warm beer, vomit and the remains of various overpriced mixed drinks that only rich white tourist would buy, somehow thinking their excursion into the “Big Easy” would revitalize their boring lives only to find the shame and guilt they thought they left at home had followed them, but now it had clad itself in cheap beads from poor decision making and various trinkets from their “spiritual journey” through the voodoo museum.

Be sure to stay tuned as the first games of the season kick off this Tuesday. Weekly updates will be posted so you can keep with your favorite team. We will also periodically be bringing the latest news, updates and interviews with the best of the best of the Cubeland Foosball League. “In the CFL, We will sell you the whole seat, but you will only need the edge!” --Aaron

Trashcan alternatives....

OK...so with all the stress about recycling and what not I have tried something a little different. Instead of using my smaller plastic trashbin, I have opted for a large cardboard box in which I dispose of all my trash in.

The benefits:

1. Can hold more trash!
2. It does not need a plastic bag so I would not be using more unrecyclable material!
3. The box itself is recyclable!

The negatives:
Pshht please!!! Test that Greenpeace, I got this all in check!!

Stay classy world!
